I began my creative journey when my mother died in 2006. At that time, I was making jewelry with gemstones and came across a book on metal clay. As soon as I opened the book, I knew that I was hooked!
In 2013, I started teaching metal clay in my hometown of Buffalo NY. This led to teaching online one on one through Skype with people all over the world. In 2016, I developed a 3 week course Making Signature Tags with daVoria. I teach people my technique for making meaningful keepsake pieces (tags, pendants, rings etc.). At about the same time I decided I wanted to expand my coaching expertise so I joined an international jewelry academy network called Flourish and Thrive. We coach jewelry designers and makers on various aspects of their businesses.
I am passionate about metal clay. I truly enjoy the meditative state it puts me in while I'm working with it. You can find some of my tutorials in various issues of Metal Clay Today Magazine. You can watch some of my videos by following me on IG (@davoria.jewelry) and Facebook (davoriajewelry).
I live in Buffalo NY with my husband of 40+ years and 2 yorkies. We have 2 sons, 2 daughters in law and 5 granddaughters.
