Paulette Bennett worked as a CPA in private industry for most of her professional career. During this time, she was given the opportunity to teach many varied courses such as Lean Accounting, Activity-Based Accounting as well as Train-the-Trainer programs. Paulette was published in “Management Accounting” for her work.

Upon retirement, Paulette took a beginning jewelry class and was hooked. She first turned to lampworking, training with such teachers as Kristina Logan, Leah Fairbanks, Corina Tettinger, Barbara Becker-Simon, Marcy Lamberson, Astrid Reidel, Lydia Muell and Jeff Barber.

Paulette then expanded her knowledge of jewelry by taking a Bench Jeweler’s course from Blaine Lewis, and enameling and

metalsmithing from James Carter, Kristin Anderson and Sandra McEwen.

Paulette’s jewelry was featured for 8 years in the Maye River Gallery in Bluffton, SC before moving back to Cameron Park, CA in 2019. Her jewelry can be viewed on her website link.

Paulette started using metal clay in 2010 to create structures for enameling.  She then discovered the Silhouette Curio for cutting and carving metal clay taking classes from Pam East and Cindy Pope and Tanya Lown. Paulette’s latest teacher certification through Camp Metal Clay Courses 101 and 201 has her excited to teach Metal Clay classes.

“I love to see the pride that lights up a student’s face when he or she creates a beautiful, wearable piece of jewelry!”
