Lana Marie Stamper grew up in the Miss-Lou area and lives in Natchez with her husband, six horses, and two dogs. After a forty year career in healthcare as a nurse, educator, and hospital administrator, she is retired from healthcare and now makes jewelry.

Lana has always loved jewelry and in 1999 started a side business buying and reselling jewelry. In 2000, Lana began making beaded jewelry and exploring other jewelry making techniques. She completed a diploma course in 2002, “Professional Jewelry Design and Repair”. Lana found silver metal clay in 2012 and from 2013-2016, she became a certified silver metal clay artist through several organizations. Lana became a Camp PMC Certification Program Principal Instructor in 2019. In September 2023, she successfully completed a yearlong web based course, “Diploma in Fine Jewellery”, from the Jewellers Academy based in London, England. In 2024, she completed both a Bench Jeweler & Stone Setting Comprehensive from the New Approach School for Jewelers in Tennessee.

Lana uses fine silver (99% silver) and sterling silver (92.5% silver) in her jewelry pieces combined with lab created & semi-precious stones, gold accents, or enamel. She strives for unique, and quality made jewelry.

In 2017, Lana started teaching jewelry classes locally and throughout Mississippi. She is a member of the MS & LA Craftsmen Guilds and the Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide (AMCAW). In 2023, Lana was declared a Fellow Member in the MS Craftsmen’s Guild.
