



Kathleen is a Camp Metal Clay certified metal clay artist and instructor. She graduated from Bemidji State University with a Major in Art and a Minor in Art History. Following graduation, she left Minnesota and lived in Pennsylvania and Florida working in Workforce Development for 30 years. Once retired, Kathleen and her husband moved to the mountains in Franklin, North Carolina.
Kathleen is currently the President of the Macon County Art Association and has her jewelry displayed at The Bascom in Highlands and at the Uptown Gallery in Franklin, NC. She has been working with metal clay for 10 years and is a regular instructor teaching an “Exploring Silver Metal Clay” class once a month at the Uptown Gallery. Kathleen will also be teaching the Camp Metal Clay class in Franklin and online.
Kathleen has been a trainer throughout her professional career, developing and presenting workshops of all kinds. She can adjust methods of training as needed for different learning types and levels as demonstrated by the students. She enjoys passing on her knowledge and techniques for working with metal clay and loves to celebrate her student’s successes!
Kathleen looks forward to providing a venue for in person learning for those living in or visiting Western North Carolina, North Georgia and Eastern Tennessee.
